New merchandise for the TV anime Gintama will go on sale exclusively at Animate from May 23, 2026. A fair will be held from the same day.

Gintama is a manga by Hideaki Sorachi that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, with the cumulative worldwide circulation of the comic series exceeding 73 million copies including digital versions. It is a thrilling entertainment work packed with hilarious gags, intense action, human emotion, and bonds, and has been adapted into TV and theatrical anime series as well as live-action films.
Furthermore, from October to December 2025, the Gintama Multiverse Anime 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei, based on a spin-off novel by Tomohito Osaki, was broadcast. The new theatrical film Gintama: Yoshiwara Dai Enjo was released in February 2026 as the grand finale of the Gintama 20th Anniversary Project. It is a completely new film adaptation of the Yoshiwara Enjo arc, the most moving and tear-jerking story in the original manga, presented in a powerful wide-screen CinemaScope.
The new merchandise uses newly drawn illustrations with a “Cloudy Sky” theme. The illustrations feature Gintoki Sakata, Kotaro Katsura, Isao Kondo, Toshiro Hijikata, Sougo Okita, Kamotaro Ito, Shinsuke Takasugi, Bansai Kawakami, Tatsuma Sakamoto, and Mutsu.
