Pre-orders for the highly anticipated “HI-METAL R Brutish Dog” figure have officially begun. Starting today, May 22, 2026 at 16:00 JST, the item is available exclusively through Bandai’s official online shop, Premium Bandai. Priced at 22,000 yen (tax included), the figure is scheduled to ship in October 2026.
Based on the classic real robot anime series Armored Trooper VOTOMS, directed by Takahashi Ryousuke and produced by Sunrise, the franchise originally aired as a TV series from 1983 to 1984. Over the past four decades, it has expanded through OVAs, spin-offs, theatrical films, and more, maintaining a dedicated fanbase. The latest addition to the series is the newly announced Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Gray Witch (Hexe), a two-part theatrical film that is already generating buzz.
This new HI-METAL R release recreates the distinctive Brutish Dog Armored Trooper (AT) equipped with its signature gatling gun and iron claw. Both weapons are entirely new sculpts, ensuring accuracy to the original design. The figure boasts a wide range of articulation, allowing for landing poses and pilot entry/exit reenactments, thanks to abundant gimmicks.
Additional accessories include newly sculpted large gliding wheels on the heels, a PRSP pack, and a color-variant Fyana figure with interchangeable parts. The complete set contains the main body, two gatling gun magazines, three replacement left hand parts, the PRSP pack, and a Fyana figure set (with interchangeable hands, one interchangeable head part, and a dedicated stand). A spare antenna is also included.
Made from ABS, die-cast, and PVC, the figure stands approximately 165mm tall and is recommended for ages 15 and up. As supplies are limited, pre-orders may close early once the allocated quantity is reached. Fans are encouraged to secure their order promptly.
