The TV anime Super no Ura de Yani Suu Futari (Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You) has revealed the opening and ending theme songs for its ABEMA-exclusive early distribution version, along with creditless music videos for both.
Based on the popular manga by Jinushi, which originally launched on Twitter (now X) on March 9, 2022 and later moved to Monthly Big Gangan, the series won first place in the Web Manga category of the Next Manga Award 2022. As of July 2025, cumulative tankobon sales have exceeded 2.5 million copies.
The story follows exhausted salaryman Sasaki, who finds solace in smoking and the cheerful service of Yamada, a female clerk at his usual supermarket. One night, discouraged by Yamada’s absence and nowhere to smoke, he is invited by a strangely dressed woman named Tayama to a spot behind the store — sparking an adult drama. In the anime, Sasaki is voiced by Sato Takuya, while Hoshi Kisei voices both Yamada and Tayama.
ABEMA Early Distribution Special Themes
The ABEMA special version opening theme is “Kuzuri Nen” by Zutto Mayonaka de Ii no ni., the same artist handling the TV broadcast OP. The creditless OP video shows Sasaki worn down by overwork, finding comfort in Yamada’s service, then returning to face his job. The video also interweaves scenes of Sasaki and Tayama spending seasons together at the smoking spot behind the supermarket, with the band’s emotionally resonant music adding depth.

The special version ending theme is “NIGHT DANCER” by imase, who also provides the TV broadcast ED. The creditless ED video takes Tayama/Yamada’s perspective, capturing her daily life — working at the supermarket, then meeting Sasaki at “their usual place” behind the store to share ordinary yet precious moments. imase’s gentle vocals and night-themed lyrics softly envelop the growing bond between Sasaki and Tayama.
Both OP and ED are specially produced for the ABEMA pre-release, with unique animation different from the TV broadcast version. The ABEMA early distribution begins on June 3, 2026 (Wednesday) at 20:30, featuring episodes 1 through 6 of the TV version split into approximately 10-minute short episodes.
Additionally, the TV broadcast opening theme title has been confirmed as “Ichijiku En”, also performed by Zutto Mayonaka de Ii no ni. A second main PV using this track is scheduled for release later. A radio program on TBS Radio is also in production, with further details to be announced soon.
