World Trigger REBOOT Exhibition Key Visual Revealed – Tokyo and Osaka Dates, Ticket Sales Begin May 30

An anime exhibition celebrating the World Trigger REBOOT project will open in Tokyo and Osaka later this year. Titled Anime WORLD TRIGGER Exhibition “REBOOT”, the event will run from August 11 in Tokyo and from November 14 in Osaka. The key visual for the exhibition has been released, along with venue details and ticket sale dates for the Tokyo leg.

World Trigger is based on the science-fiction action manga by Ashihara Daisuke, serialized first in Weekly Shonen Jump and now in Jump SQ. The story is set in Mikado City, threatened by interdimensional invaders called Neighbors. It follows Mikumo Osamu, a boy fighting to protect the city, and Kuga Yuuma, a boy with extraordinary combat ability who carries a certain promise. Their meeting sparks a journey of growth, teamwork, and strategic battles, as seen in the TV anime’s first season (2014–2016), second season (2021), and third season (2021–2022).

The REBOOT project adapts the manga from the very first chapter through the Border recruitment arc, the large-scale Neighbor invasion arc, and the B-rank wars arc as a completely new anime. Toei Animation, which handled the second and third seasons, returns for production, promising a powered-up World Trigger 1st Season.

The exhibition allows fans to revisit the story’s beginnings. It will feature hands-on areas, rare animation materials, and immersive zones.

The newly unveiled key visual centers on the theme of “moving forward,” evoking the REBOOT concept. The venue is divided into several zones:

  • Prologue – Mikado City and Border: A diorama of Mikado City with video effects recaps the large-scale invasion and the founding of Border.
  • ZONE 1 – Encounter, The Beginning of the Story: Traces the meeting of Osamu and Yuuma, the appearance of Chika, and features Yuuma with the Black Trigger and Replica.
  • ZONE 2 – Tamakoma Branch, Encounters and Resolve: Greeted by Youtarou and Raijinmaru, with Border explanations from Usami and guidance from Tamakoma seniors.
  • ZONE 3 – Border Headquarters, Trajectory of Growth: Covers the recruitment, team formation, and training. A recreation of the Border headquarters training room is a highlight.
  • ZONE 4 – Animation Material Exhibition: Displays confidential materials including REBOOT character settings. There will also be a message area and merchandise sales.
