About the Series
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is a shōjo manga by Naoko Takeuchi that began serialization in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine in 1991. The original tankōbon volumes have been translated into 17 languages, and the anime series has aired in over 40 countries, sparking a social phenomenon both in Japan and abroad.
In 2012, a new project was launched, leading to a 30th anniversary initiative that includes complete editions, bunko editions, digital releases, new anime, musicals, merchandise, a fan club, and official stores. The long-awaited art book Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Resoné ART WORKS 1991–2023 was released in 2024, while the performance show “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live toured London, North America, and returned to Japan in 2025.
Accessories and Recreating the Attack
This figure features a newly sculpted body and proportions. Included is the Cutie Moon Rod used to unleash the special move “Moon Princess Halation,” allowing fans to recreate iconic scenes from the Sailor Moon R anime.
Also included is Usagi’s faithful black cat companion, Luna. Luna’s head can be moved left, right, up, and down; turning her head sideways gives her a prim, composed expression.
The set comes with four pairs of interchangeable wrist parts (left and right) for poses such as “In the name of the moon, I’ll punish you!” and the “hip-hand” pose, three interchangeable facial expression parts, the Cutie Moon Rod, Luna, and a dedicated display base. With renewed articulation and sculpting, this extra-glamorous figure is scheduled for release on June 27, 2026.
