Cardcaptor Sakura originally ran as a manga in Nakayoshi from June 1996 to August 2000. It follows Sakura, a young girl who becomes a “Cardcaptor” to collect the magical Clow Cards that threaten the world. The anime aired on NHK from 1998 to 2000, and a sequel series, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, began in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary. The Clear Card manga ran for 80 chapters (16 volumes) over seven and a half years, and an anime continuation has been confirmed.

MAYLA’s shoulder bag line features three models, each taking design cues from Sakura’s Clear Card outfit: “Rocket Beat” (RD), “Clear” (WH), and “Academic Nocturne” (BK).
