Gold Fair Collaboration with ‘Hi no Tori’
From June 17 to 23, 2026, Daimaru Shinsaibashi store in Osaka will host a “Gold Fair” featuring a variety of gold products. Among them are special items collaborating with Tezuka Osamu’s legendary manga Hi no Tori (Phoenix).

Hi no Tori is a timeless masterpiece and the life’s work of the “God of Manga,” Tezuka Osamu, who continues to be revered worldwide. The series first began in 1954 in the magazine Manga Shonen with the “Dawn” arc. Over the years, it continued serialization across multiple magazines such as Shoujo Club, COM, Manga Shonen, and Yasei Jidai. The story spans from ancient times to the year 3000 and beyond, with settings ranging from the Yamatai kingdom to the far reaches of the universe — a grand, time-spanning epic.

Pure Gold Oban and Koban
The highlight products are a pure gold oban (large coin) and koban (small coin) featuring designs from Hi no Tori. The large coin is priced at 3,000,000 yen, and the small coin at 1,200,000 yen. Both come in luxurious paulownia wood boxes.

Phoenix Object Sculpture
Also on display is an impressive sculpture of the phoenix, crafted from resin with gold leaf applied to faithfully reproduce the dynamic movement of the bird. The price is 9,900,000 yen, and the total height is 1,210 mm.
