Oshi no Ko Exhibition Reveals Second Wave Goods: Ai Hair Ornament Badge, Piyemon Slippers, and More

With the manga exhibition “Oshi no Ko – Hoshi no Kiseki” set to open at Matsuya Ginza from July 22 to August 11, 2026, organizers have released details on the second wave of original merchandise. Among the new items are an acrylic MEGA figure using newly drawn key art, a mosaic art puzzle, and several character-themed accessories.

“Oshi no Ko” is the work of Akasaka Aka and Yokoyari Mengo, drawing on meticulous research to portray the light and shadow of the entertainment industry. The manga ran for 16 volumes, with cumulative worldwide sales exceeding 25 million copies. It has garnered support from entertainers and industry insiders since its debut in Weekly Young Jump in April 2020. The first anime season aired in April 2023 to global acclaim, reaching a broad fan base. A live-action drama adaptation began streaming on Amazon Prime Video in 2024, the manga concluded in November of that year, and a 2.5D stage production and live-action film were released in December. The third anime season aired from January to March 2026, and a fourth and final season has been announced.

The exhibition, titled “Manga Oshi no Ko Exhibition – Hoshi no Kiseki -,” offers visitors a space immersed in the work’s world, with illustration displays revisiting iconic scenes and story moments. Commentary from the authors sheds light on the behind-the-scenes aspects, allowing fans to fully appreciate the series after its conclusion.

Additionally, the first part of a talk video featuring the two creators, Akasaka Aka and Yokoyari Mengo, has arrived. The video series will be released on the exhibition’s official social media channels up to the 11th installment, offering exclusive behind-the-scenes insights.

The exhibition will also tour to Kobe and Kagoshima in autumn 2026. It will be held at Daimaru Kobe Store, 9F Daimaru Museum from September 16 to September 28, 2026, and at KakuiX Exchange Center (Kagoshima Prefectural Citizens Exchange Center) 6F from November 7, 2026 to January 11, 2027.

To commemorate the exhibition, Shueisha’s official manga apps “Young Jump+” and “Shonen Jump+” are offering the first 40 chapters (4 volumes) of “Oshi no Ko” for free reading. This limited-time promotion runs from June 3 to August 11, 2026.
