Dogakobo’s First Original Anime Mebius Dust Premieres July 9, 2026 – Kids with Superpowers Battle in a Sealed Town

Dogakobo (動画工房) is set to air its very first original television anime, Mebius Dust, starting July 9, 2026. Alongside the announcement, a key visual and first main promotional video have been released, finally revealing the story behind this superpower battle series.

Born from the Project ANIMA initiative, which solicited original anime concepts from the public, Mebius Dust won the grand prize in the third “Kids・Game Anime” category. The project is a collaboration between DeNA, Bunka Housou, Sotsu, and MBS and previously produced Sakugan (Satelight) and The Story of a Girl Who Could Not Become a Witch (J.C.STAFF).

Story and World Setting

Ten years after a meteorite fall, mysterious particles known as Mebius Dust have granted children special abilities called Ramus. However, these children can only survive within the particles’ range and are forbidden to leave the town. The protagonist, Araki, is one such child. Together with his sister Stella and childhood friend Olga, he forms a team and spends nights engaged in territory capture games. Their fate changes when Dr. Yuda, a Ramus researcher, requests their cooperation in a certain experiment.

The newly released key visual gathers the main characters against the backdrop of the town Shinkatsushika, hinting at dynamic superpower battles and an underlying mysterious story. The main PV introduces more than 30 characters and showcases the unique world and action of the Ramus carriers.
