Sanrio fans can now pick up a cute new cosmetic accessory: the Nui Ring & Lip Balm set, created by Shobido and available at the Shobido online store. Each set pairs a compact, portable lip balm with a character-themed ring, and the lip balm comes with an acrylic charm.
The release comes as the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking is underway. The current interim results show Pompompurin in first place, after reclaiming the top spot last year for the first time in nine years. Following behind are Cinnamoroll in second (final rank second in 2025) and Pochacco in third (third in 2025). The final results will be announced on June 28 during the Sanrio Fes 2026 in Minato Mirai.
The ring can be worn as an accessory or clipped onto a bag for a subtle character accent. It is adjustable in size, making it suitable for both children and adults.
The lineup includes five designs, each with a fragrance that matches the character’s image:
- Hello Kitty (apple scent)
- My Melody (strawberry scent)
- Kuromi (grape scent)
- Cinnamoroll (cotton candy scent)
- Pompompurin (pudding scent)
Each set is priced at 1,430 yen (tax included). The lip balm measures approximately 1.5 cm in diameter by 7.2 cm in height, the ring ranges from about 4 to 7.5 cm in width, 3 to 4.5 cm in height, and 3.5 cm in depth. The package is about 11.4 by 16.5 by 4 cm, with a total weight of roughly 60 to 63 grams.
