The Touhou Project is teaming up with Yomiuri Land for a special summer collaboration titled “Hakurei Shrine Summer Festival 2026 in Yomiuri Land”. The event will run from June 20 to August 23, 2026, offering a variety of exclusive activities and merchandise that can only be experienced at the amusement park.
What Is Touhou Project?
Touhou Project is a series of bullet hell shooting games created by the doujin circle Shanghai Alice Fantasy Group, led by ZUN. Set in the fictional world of Gensokyo, the series is known for its unique characters and deep lore, captivating fans worldwide.
Exclusive Merchandise and Purchase Bonuses
The event will feature brand-new illustrations of eight characters, which will be used on a range of exclusive goods. Available items include acrylic figures, acrylic multi-keyholders, and full-color T-shirts—all sold as “Yomiuri Land 2026 Ver.” limited editions.
For every 1,000 yen (tax included) spent on Touhou Project merchandise, customers will receive one random limited-edition card. The card design will change between the first half of the event (from June 20) and the second half (from July 25).
Puzzle-Solving Game with RIDDLER
In collaboration with puzzle-creator group RIDDLER, a special wandering-style puzzle game will be held. The story involves Gensokyo, where all danmaku and spell cards have lost their power. Instead, players must use newly available “Riddle Cards” to solve an unprecedented-scale incident. This year’s puzzle boasts the largest number of problems and characters, putting fans’ wits to the test.
Stamp Rally
A stamp rally across Yomiuri Land will also be held. By collecting all four stamps placed around the park, participants can receive one random original badge (two designs available).
Food Collaboration
At six food outlets within Yomiuri Land, 11 special collaboration menu items will be available. For each collaboration item purchased, guests will receive one random coaster (eight designs each for the first and second halves). As with the merchandise card bonus, the coaster designs will change halfway through the event.
Workshops and Exhibits
Three types of workshops are planned, including the popular resin keychain-making and ramune candy-making activities. Additionally, banners featuring selected illustrations from the “Reitaisai Kids’ Illustration Contest” will be displayed, and the free rest area operated by Yomiuri Land will be wrapped in Touhou Project decorations.
HANA・BIYORI Collaboration
From July 3 to July 31, a separate collaboration with the nearby flower park HANA・BIYORI will take place. Further details will be announced on the event’s official website and the Hakurei Shrine Devotees Association official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Special One-Day Pass
A special one-day pass combining a Yomiuri Land ticket, a goshuin-style postcard, and an original badge is now available for purchase via the Yomiuran CLUB. Check the official event page for more information.
