The beloved planner brand Hobonichi has released the “Hobonichi Techo 2026 Moomin Series,” a collaboration with the classic Finnish franchise Moomin. The series has recently been honored with the “Moomin Product of the Year 2025” award, organized by Rights & Brands, the company that manages Moomin’s licensing in Japan.
Since its launch in 2001, the Hobonichi Techo has been a long‑selling product, now celebrating its 25th anniversary with the 2026 edition. Built around the concept of a “life book,” the planner is designed to be freely used according to each user’s lifestyle and has gained fans not only in Japan but around the world.
The notebook features the classic one‑day‑per‑page layout, uses thin, lightweight, and durable Tomoe River paper, and is bound to open flat at 180 degrees. Each year, Hobonichi also partners with various artists and brands to produce a wide array of designs, contributing to the planner’s popularity.
The Hobonichi Techo 2026 Moomin Series hit stores on September 1, 2025, and expresses the world of Moomin—with its adventures of a quirky cast of characters—through planners and stationery. The “Moomin Product of the Year” award selects products and promotions released during the target year (January–December 2025) based on creativity, quality, and market impact.
