Mangaka Mizuki Shigeru’s works and Japanese goods brand Wamono ya Kaya (倭物やカヤ) have announced their second collaboration. New items inspired by GeGeGe no Kitaro will go on sale from July 10, 2026 at the official online shop and Wamono ya Kaya directly managed stores.
Wamono ya Kaya is a brand that brings Japanese culture and sensibility into modern life with its range of Japanese-style goods. For this new lineup, the world of yōkai from Mizuki Shigeru’s masterpiece GeGeGe no Kitaro has been translated into apparel and fashion accessories.
The lineup includes nine items in total. The open-collar shirts (aloha shirts) come in two patterns: train and festival. Made from 100% cotton with a soft feel and a relaxed silhouette, they are easy to wear for both men and women. Price: ¥8,910.
The reversible sashiko jacket (刺子ジャン) is available in train and festival patterns. Its striking designs and embroidery allow wearers to enjoy Mizuki Shigeru’s world just by putting it on. Price: ¥24,860.
The reversible wa-haori also comes in train and festival patterns. This long-length jacket has a kimono-like silhouette with a solid-color reverse side, so the pattern peeks out tastefully when moving. Price: ¥17,600.
Bag options include the tasuki-style sling bag (¥4,950) and the tote bag that can fit A4 size (¥3,850). Also available are the water-repellent furoshiki wrapping cloth (¥4,290) and a dual-use umbrella for both rain and shine (¥5,720).
The two bags and the furoshiki each come in two patterns, while the umbrella is available in one pattern.
Footwear items include the “Medama Oyaji Tabi Socks” featuring a single embroidered eyeball motif, in black and white, sizes 23-25 cm and 25-28 cm. Price: ¥1,430.
The “GeGeGe no Kitaro Jikatabi” (split-toe work boots) are available in six sizes from 23 cm to 28 cm. Price: ¥15,950. All prices include tax.
