Original Anime Film ‘GROTESQQQUE’ by Nishigori Atsushi and CloverWorks Adds 35 Artists Including Reol, ASCA

The original anime film project GROTESQQQUE -GROTESQUE- from director and animator Nishigori Atsushi and animation production studio CloverWorks has announced a massive lineup of 35 artists who will participate in the film through music. The roster includes Reol, ASCA, Junna, Myuk, Yasuda Rei, and many others, spanning diverse genres.

About the Film

Nishigori Atsushi, known for directing THE IDOLM@STER and DARLING in the FRANXX, and serving as chief animation director on the monumental EVANGELION: 3.0+1.11 THRICE UPON A TIME, returns as director, scriptwriter, and character designer for this original project. CloverWorks, the studio behind SPY×FAMILY and Bocchi the Rock!, handles production. The two previously collaborated on DARLING in the FRANXX and the THE IDOLM@STER concept movie VOY@GER.

GROTESQQQUE is composed of three independent yet interwoven stories:

• Erians: An alien girl teams up with a civil servant working at a space agency in a frantic search for “friends.”
• Yoroshiku Shojo: A group of girls called the Gal-P gather for a chaotic battle royale over the winner of the game Queen of Butterfly.
• Nocturne ~Kono Grotesque na Yoru ni~: A pure-blood vampire and three girls who survived by being bitten and infected travel through a desolate, post-apocalyptic world in a wagon.
