The collaboration campaign between the film GeGeGe no Kitaro: Birth of Kitaro and hot spring facilities Gokurakuyu / RAKU SPA, titled “GeGeGe no Yu,” kicks off on June 18, 2026. To celebrate, original bromide prints featuring newly drawn illustrations are now available from GK Print, starting on June 18 at 12:00.
About the Film
Released in November 2023 as a commemorative work for the 100th anniversary of Mizuki Shigeru’s birth, GeGeGe no Kitaro: Birth of Kitaro is a feature-length anime film that delves into the secret of Kitaro’s origin. It depicts the encounter between the former Eyeball Father and Mizuki, and the fate that their fathers must confront. The film won the Excellent Animation Award at the 47th Japan Academy Prize and was also screened as a special edition, GeGeGe no Kitaro: Birth of Kitaro – Shinsei-ban, with upgraded visuals and sound.
GK Print Service
GK Print is a collaboration brand between the print service “Entertainment Print” and GK Marketing. It allows users to purchase and print bromide cards and other content from various genres—including anime, games, and voice actors—at multi-copy machines installed in convenience stores across Japan.
