MAPPA Confirmed as Animation Studio for ‘Koi seyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo’
TV anime Koi seyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo has officially revealed that MAPPA will be handling the animation production. The announcement was made during the “MAPPA 15th Anniversary Lineup Presentation” held on June 19, 2026. Alongside the news, a teaser visual and teaser PV were released, and comments from the main staff have arrived.
The series is based on the manga by Uzuki Coco, serialized in Monthly Dessert with over 2.25 million copies in circulation. It follows a love story born from secrets, featuring two characters with hidden gaps in their personalities. The manga has won multiple awards, including the Kodansha Manga Award, praised for its beautiful character designs and emotional depth.
Earlier, the anime adaptation for 2027 was announced to great response. Now it is confirmed that MAPPA—known for blockbuster hits like Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan The Final Season, and Chainsaw Man—will bring this romantic comedy to life.
The teaser visual features characters Katsura Otogi and Ninomae Toki, with intriguing details visible throughout. The teaser PV marks the first public look at anime footage, and the end of the video includes Otogi’s voice. Fans are eager for future updates.
Partial main staff information was also revealed. Director Okamoto Yasutomo, character designer Oka Mariko, series composer Yamasaki Yohei, art director Hashimoto Takumi, color designer Tanabe Kana, photography director Taniguchi Shunsuke, editor Takahashi Ayumu (with the high-variant kanji), and animation producer Waki Yuriko have been confirmed.
