Flower Miffy, the flower shop dedicated to the beloved Dutch picture book character Miffy, is celebrating Miffy’s birthday and the 7th anniversary of its Asakusa store with a special campaign starting June 19, 2026. The “Flower Miffy Birthday Campaign” will run at all Flower Miffy locations and the official online shop. On the same day, a limited-edition collaboration with lifestyle brand OUTDOOR PRODUCTS will also launch.
June 21 marks Miffy’s birthday. The date commemorates the publication of the first two Miffy picture books in the Netherlands on June 21, 1955, and is recognized as “Miffy’s Day” by the Japan Anniversary Association. The campaign celebrates both this milestone and the 7th anniversary of the Asakusa store.
From June 19, customers who spend 8,800 yen or more (tax included) in a single transaction will receive a “Flower Miffy Sacoche” in one of four colors inspired by hydrangea blossoms. The sacoche is a non-sale item available while supplies last.
New products also debut on the same day, including the “Flower Miffy Howa Howa Mascot Keychain Cosmos Purple” (a plush keychain version of the popular dress-up plushie) and the “Flower Miffy Emboss Mug Cup” in three colors: pink, blue, and yellow. These items bring a colorful, floral touch to Miffy’s birthday celebration.
Additionally, the OUTDOOR PRODUCTS collaboration introduces two bag designs exclusive to Flower Miffy: a daypack and a shoulder bag.
Both bags feature a simple design with a woven label showing Miffy’s face and an orange marguerite flower, along with the “Flower Miffy” logo. The exterior is orange, while the back side is light blue, creating a two-tone pull-tab accent. The inner fabric is covered in a lively all-over pattern of Miffy and marguerites in orange and light blue.
The classic daypack is practical for everyday use, fitting A4 clear files, notebook PCs, and a 500ml PET bottle in its side mesh pocket. The vertical shoulder bag has a gusset and is sized to hold a wallet and handkerchief, with a front mesh pocket for small items. Both bags are ideal for summer travel and outings, combining functionality with design.
