
Production company Warner Bros. Japan announced a fourth season for the Shuumatsu no Walküre (Record of Ragnarok) anime series on Friday, revealing a special announcement promotional video and a commemorative illustration by the manga’s illustrator Ajichika.
The first season, produced by Graphinica, debuted worldwide on Netflix in 12 episodes in June 2021. The 15-episode second season, co-produced by Graphinica and Yumeta Company, streamed on Netflix in two parts in January and July 2023. The 15-episode third season, produced by Yumeta Company and Maru Animation, streamed on Netflix in December 2025.
Shuumatsu no Walküre adapts Umemura Shinya, Fukui Takumi, and illustrator Ajichika‘s dark fantasy battle action manga, which began in Monthly Comic Zenon in November 2017. Coamix published the 27th volume on March 19, with the 28th volume set for a July 17 release. The manga has a cumulative 18 million copies of its volumes in print.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in June 2021 and released the 18th volume on April 21. The 19th volume is planned for a July 21 release. The company also licensed the first anime season in North America and released it on home video in April 2023.
