New merchandise for the original anime film Chou Kaguya-hime! will go on sale at Animate stores and Animate Online from July 4, 2026. Alongside the product launch, a special summer fair will run from July 4 to July 26.
About the Film
Chou Kaguya-hime! is the first feature-length original anime film directed by Yamashita Seigo, known for his work on opening sequences for hit series such as Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1, Chainsaw Man, and Urusei Yatsura. The film is a “music animation project” featuring songs by a stellar lineup of Vocaloid producers: ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot.
Yamashita’s signature style—combining high-sense, emotional visuals with dynamic 3D camera work—brings to life the virtual space “Tsukuyomi,” where live stages and the bonds of girls connected through song are depicted with stunning quality. Animation production is handled by Studio Colorido (known for Penguin Highway and A Whisker Away) and Studio Chromat, the studio led by Yamashita himself.

The new goods feature newly drawn illustrations of Kaguya, Sakayori Iroha, and Tsukimi Yachiyo, originally used for previous theatrical release commemorative items. The lineup includes:
