The beloved magical girl series Sailor Moon is collaborating with Nippon Kodo’s premium incense brand Seiun to release limited-edition incense featuring original manga artwork. Two varieties will be available, each with a unique scent and packaging designed with illustrations by Naoko Takeuchi.
A Global Phenomenon
Sailor Moon began serialization in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine in 1991. The manga has been translated into 17 languages, and the anime series has aired in over 40 countries, becoming a global phenomenon. In 2012, a new project launched, leading to the 30th anniversary project that includes complete editions, anime, musicals, merchandise, and more. In 2024, the art book Sailor Moon Resonant Art Works 1991–2023 was released, and in 2025, the performance show Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon The Super Live toured London, North America, and Japan.
Two Incense Varieties
The “Sailor Moon x Seiun Fragrance Incense (Incense Sticks) Sailor 5 Warriors” features a refined scent combining elegant sandalwood and gentle floral notes, evoking the quiet moonlight. The package uses original artwork of the five Sailor Guardians. It includes one original magnet sheet with the front design.
The “Sailor Moon x Seiun Fragrance Incense (Incense Sticks) Usagi & Mamoru” offers a pure scent of mystical frankincense and fresh rose. The package features Usagi and Mamoru embracing under a moonlit night. It also includes one original magnet sheet.
Release Information
The limited-edition incense will be released sequentially from July 3, 2026 (Friday).
