The official website for Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon no Taki-hen (Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc) television anime announced additional cast members and a character visual on Thursday. The second season, adapting Yura Urushibara’s action fantasy manga, will air on Nippon Television’s Friday Anime Night programming block beginning in October 2026.

Ato Nonaka (Fate/Zero episode director) is returning to direct at Studio Hibari. Yukie Sugawara (Overlord) is handling series composition and script. Ryouko Amisaki (Radiant 2nd Season) is designing the characters, and Kohta Yamamoto (Mato Seihei no Slave) is composing the music.
Produced by Studio Hibari, the first season aired in 24 episodes from Summer 2025 to Fall 2025. Crunchyroll and Netflix simulcasted the anime with subtitles in multiple languages.
Urushibara began serializing the manga in Weekly Shounen Champion in June 2020. Akita Shoten published the 29th volume on April 8, with the 30th volume scheduled to go on sale on July 8.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English in March 2024 and published the fifth volume on May 26 and will release the sixth volume on November 24.
