About Evangelion
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a science fiction robot anime series that first aired in 1995. It follows 14-year-old boys and girls who pilot the giant humanoid weapons known as Evangelions to fight against mysterious enemies called Angels. Beyond the action, the series delves into the characters’ inner struggles and the truth of the world, becoming a massive social phenomenon both in Japan and abroad.
The franchise has been presented in various forms, including the TV series, the original theatrical films, and the new theatrical series that concluded with Shin Evangelion. In February 2026, the first-ever festival event celebrating the 30th anniversary, “EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION,” announced the production of a completely new series, with further updates eagerly awaited.
Product Details
The new plastic models of Ayanami and Asuka stand approximately 170mm tall and feature articulated joints. Ayanami comes with a hand holding a glasses case, while Asuka includes a hand with a puppet. Additionally, wrist parts are included that allow them to hold weapons from the separately sold MODEROID Evangelion Unit-01 and other kits.

Thanks to pre-colored parts and decals, the models can be assembled to closely match the intended color scheme. Each comes with a base that includes a movable support rod.
