The special collaboration event between the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Hakone Kowakien Yunessun, titled “Kimetsu no Yaiba × Yunessun: Hakone Onsen Tan ~Fuji no Hana no Kyuusoku~” (Wisteria Flower Rest), will run from July 18 to October 4, 2026. The event will offer collaboration drinks, exclusive merchandise, and more.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, published by Shueisha under the Jump Comics label. The series spans 23 volumes and has surpassed 220 million copies in circulation. It follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family is killed by demons and whose sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps to fight demons and find a cure for his sister. The anime is produced by ufotable, starting with the TV series Kimetsu no Yaiba: Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc in April 2019. The Infinity Castle arc is being adapted as a film trilogy, with Chapter 1: Akaza’s Return released on July 18, 2025. The film was also nominated for the Best Animated Feature award at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, a rare honor for a Japanese work.
The collaboration offers a variety of ways to enjoy the world of the series, including themed baths, saunas, special tickets, drinks, goods, collaboration rooms, and accommodation plans. All activities are designed to let visitors experience Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba in a hot spring setting.
Among the collaboration drinks is the “Wisteria Flower Evil Demon Drink” (『藤の花』邪鬼ドリンク), inspired by the house with the wisteria crest that appears in the story. Purchasers will receive a random original tag (15 types in total).
ufotable has created original illustrations for the event, which are used on a range of exclusive goods. Items include can badges and acrylic stands featuring characters enjoying Hakone Kowakien, as well as face towels and waterproof multi-cases — perfect for a hot spring visit.
In addition, a special “hot spring yukata ver.” lineup of goods will be available. Trading can badges, acrylic stands, locker-key-style acrylic keyholders, and milk-bottle-cap-themed items all carry the yukata design, adding to the onsen atmosphere.
During the event period, a collaboration ticket that comes with a “coarse gift-style towel” featuring the original illustration will be sold. At the adjacent Hakone Hotel Kowakien, collaboration rooms with exclusive novelties for overnight guests and accommodation plans with an original tenugui towel are also on offer.
As a purchase bonus, for every 2,000 yen (tax included) spent on original goods, customers will receive one random postcard (10 types in total). A follow-and-repost campaign on X (formerly Twitter) is also planned.
