Sanrio’s beloved characters My Melody and Kuromi are making their first appearance in a collaboration with John Masters Organics. Limited edition hair brushes and hair oil featuring the duo’s adorable dynamic will launch on July 16, 2026, in limited quantities.
The collaboration comes on the heels of the 2026 Sanrio Character Awards, where Pompompurin took first place with a record 70,647,379 votes. Cinnamoroll, who led the initial rankings, came in second, followed by Pochacco in third, Kuromi in fourth, and Hello Kitty in fifth. The enduring popularity of these characters continues to shine.
Under the theme “Together, we’re even cuter forever,” the collection captures the contrasting yet complementary personalities of My Melody—innocent, gentle, and always cheerful—and Kuromi, who teaches strength by being true to oneself. Their “special relationship” is expressed through designs that show them facing each other with mutual care.
Combo Paddle Brush
The lineup includes a hair brush combining tourmaline-infused ionic bristles with boar bristles, a popular gift item. Available in two sizes—standard and mini—the brushes feature exclusive My Melody and Kuromi designs. The center of the brush back can be engraved with a name or favorite words, making it suitable for personalized presents.
Style Lock Oil
A limited-edition hair oil in packaging designed with My Melody and Kuromi will also be released. This product helps condition hair from within while keeping curls or straight styles in place all day.
