The next chapter in the Kamen Rider franchise has been unveiled. Kamen Rider Mice, the latest TV series, will premiere in September 2026. Following the initial title and logo reveal on April 3, 2026—the 55th anniversary of the original Kamen Rider—new teaser visuals and key details have now been released.
The hero of Kamen Rider Mice is a mouse-themed Rider, a first for the main protagonist in the series’ history. The teaser visual shows the silver-bodied Rider with clear blue eyes, surrounded by various “Ride Eggs”—egg-shaped key items used for transformation. The transformation belt, called the “Mice Driver,” is worn on the chest, similar to the currently airing Kamen Rider Zetts.
But the mouse hero will not be alone. Two cat-themed Riders, natural enemies of mice, are also introduced. The red cat is Kamen Rider Mao, and the black cat is Kamen Rider Rido. Unlike Mice, both cat Riders wear their transformation belts around the waist. Rido uses the same Mice Driver but attaches a “Hammer Bone Buckle” to it, while Mao uses a dedicated “Mao Driver.” This chest-versus-waist belt placement marks a notable first for the Kamen Rider series, setting up an intriguing visual contrast.
Fans will get an early look at Kamen Rider Mice on the big screen. The character will appear in the film Kamen Rider Zetts: Sayonara no Mission, opening in theaters on July 24, 2026. The film will be screened simultaneously with Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity: Taiyou ga Naita Hi. A teaser movie is already available on the TV Asahi program website and the official Kamen Rider WEB site. Cast and additional details are expected to be announced later.
Kamen Rider Mice will air every Sunday from 9:00 to 9:30 AM starting September 2026.
