The music unit MyM, consisting of Mori Sanchuu Ooshima and Ganbare Ruuya (Yoshiko and Mahiru), has announced a collaboration with the classic TV anime Mahou no Tenshi Creamy Mami. Originally produced as Studio Pierrot’s first original TV anime series, Creamy Mami remains a beloved magical girl classic over 40 years after its broadcast. It celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2023, and the latest series in the franchise, Mahou no Shimai Lulut Lili, aired from April 2026.
Their 10th single, “Delicate ni Suki shite ~Creamy Maimu Ver.~,” will be released on July 29, 2026. For this track, Oota Takako—the original voice actress of Creamy Mami—joins as a guest vocalist. This marks the first time “Delicate ni Suki shite” has been performed as a collaboration with Creamy Mami herself. The song retains the charm of the original while adding MyM’s distinctive flair.
Newly drawn illustrations have also been created for the collaboration, featuring both MyM and Creamy Mami.
Goods using these illustrations are planned, and pop-up stores will be held in Tokyo and Osaka in August. The Tokyo venue, YEN TOWN MARKET at Shibuya PARCO 5F, will host a photo session with MyM members on August 8 for customers who purchase 10,000 yen (tax included) or more of collaboration merchandise. The photo sessions are scheduled for 13:00 and 15:30. The Osaka pop-up at YEN TOWN MARKET Shinsaibashi PARCO 5F will run August 8 and 9, but no members will be present.
MyM member Miyuki, a longtime fan of the series, shared her excitement: “I’ve loved Creamy Mami since I was little! I treasure my Mami-chan goods—sweatshirts, chopsticks, bags, pouches, lip gloss, keychains… Singing with Oota Takako-san feels like a reward for cleaning the toilet every day. I’m so happy! The song turned out amazing. Please look forward to it!”
