The full rebroadcast of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series continued on July 19, 2026, with Episode 15, “Natagumo Mountain.” Fans eagerly tuned in, with comments like “I haven’t seen the Natagumo Mountain arc in a while, looking forward to it” and “Starting the Natagumo Mountain arc this week—I’m going to cry.”

Based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family is slaughtered by demons and whose sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps to find a cure. The series, animated by ufotable, began with the “Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc” in April 2019. The latest installment, Infinity Castle Arc, is a trilogy; Chapter 1, “Akaza Returns,” was released on July 18, 2025.
Note: The following contains spoilers for Episode 15.
Fluffy Inosuke
In Episode 15, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke are resting at a house with the wisteria crest until their injuries heal. Zenitsu becomes obsessed with Nezuko, chasing her and calling out, “Nezuko-chaaan!” He also pesters Tanjiro with “Let’s be friends, Tanjiro!” Meanwhile, Inosuke is hungry. The old woman who welcomes them offers to change his clothes and says, “For dinner, let’s have tempura. Yes, that thing with the batter.”
Inosuke’s heart seems to go “howa howa” (fluffy) from her kindness. Fans were charmed: “Zenitsu is so noisy on a Sunday morning lol,” “His quick change of heart is adorable,” “The howa howa is cute,” “Howa howa grandma,” “Inosuke is confused by this strange feeling, and this expression is hilarious.”

The Three Head to Natagumo Mountain
The doctor declares them fully healed. A Kasugai Crow arrives with orders: “Next location: north-northeast! The three of you go to Natagumo Mountain!” Before they leave, the old woman performs a “kiribi” (purification fire). Inosuke snaps, “What are you doing, old hag!” Zenitsu retorts, “It’s kiribi! She’s purifying us!”
Fans loved the dynamic: “I love that Inosuke knows nothing about the world—the kiribi had ‘certain victory’ written on it,” “I’ve only seen kiribi in period dramas and Demon Slayer,” “The Kamaboko Squad’s first mission together,” “Finally, they’re a trio.”

“Don’t Leave Me Alone!”
As dusk falls, they approach Natagumo Mountain. Zenitsu stops with a serious face, “Wait a moment!” Tearfully, he says, “The destination is getting closer and I’m really scared!” He senses something ominous from the mountain.

While Zenitsu sits in the middle of the road, Tanjiro catches a scent and runs off, followed by Inosuke. Zenitsu chases after them, crying, “Don’t leave me alone!” They find a fallen Demon Slayer who begs for help, but he is pulled into the mountain. Tanjiro and Inosuke charge in, with Zenitsu left to quip, “It’s ‘my arm is itching,’ right?”
Viewers praised Zenitsu: “This quip is the best!” “Even while scared, he still corrects Inosuke—so cute,” “His accurate quips are wasted on the Demon Slayer Corps,” “He’s smart to immediately notice the mistake.”

“Why Isn’t He a Hashira!”
As Tanjiro and Inosuke advance, Tanjiro thanks Inosuke for coming along, making Inosuke go “howa howa” again. The mountain is covered in webs. They encounter a Demon Slayer who despairs when Tanjiro introduces himself as rank “Tsuchinoto”: “Why isn’t he a Hashira! No matter how many Tsuchinoto come, it’s the same!” He explains that ten Slayers entered the mountain but started fighting each other.
Fans cheered the debut of the Demon Slayer Murata: “Murata’s first appearance!” “Murata, yahoo!!” “My beloved Murata,” “He’s going to be around for a long time,” “I heard he’s the same year as Giyu.” Meanwhile, two Hashira—Giyu Tomioka and Shinobu Kocho—are ordered to Natagumo Mountain. Their arrival excited fans: “Giyu-san! Shinobu-san!!” “Giyu-san and Shinobu-san are here!” “The sense of security from them is immense,” “Giyu-san finally appears again lol,” “Shinobu-san’s first appearance—she lies so much, lol,” “Shinobu-san doesn’t actually want everyone to get along—it’s creepy and great.”
“Is That ‘Sutakora Sassa’?”
Left alone on the dark road, Zenitsu sulks: “Am I hated? Would you normally leave a comrade by the roadside? ‘Sutakora sassa’ into a scary mountain?” But spurred by Chuntaro, he realizes Tanjiro took cute Nezuko into the mountain and dashes off.
Fans noted: “Zenitsu gets super strength when Nezuko is involved,” “He already thinks of her as ‘my Nezuko-chan’ lol,” “He’s scared, but he runs for Nezuko.”

“Beast Breathing: Seventh Form: Spatial Awareness”
In the mountain, Tanjiro and Inosuke hear a strange sound. The Demon Slayer explains that the sound makes Slayers attack each other. A Slayer attacks from the shadows, but he is being controlled by threads from a demon. Small spiders connect the threads. They need to find the controlling demon, but Tanjiro’s nose isn’t working well. He asks Inosuke for help. Suddenly, a child-like demon appears on a thread, saying, “Don’t disturb our quiet family life.” Inosuke uses “Beast Breathing: Seventh Form: Spatial Awareness” to locate the demon controlling the Slayers.
Fans reacted: “First time seeing Beast Breathing!” “I really like this among Inosuke’s skills,” “All three members have enemy detection abilities—very convenient.” They also joked: “I can understand his self-taught sword skills, but how did he learn Spatial Awareness? lol”
Murata Voiced by Kouki Miyata
The official Demon Slayer account released a cast comment for the rebroadcast. Kouki Miyata, who voices the beloved Demon Slayer Murata, praised his character: “He may seem unreliable, but Murata is brave and never runs away even in extreme situations—he’s really cool. … After this, there will be a lot of skin exposure, though (lol).”
Fans adore Murata: “In a way, he’s the most loved man in the Demon Slayer Corps,” “He has incredible luck but also real skill—a general corps member,” “Murata is often called the strongest mob, but to me he’s a main character no matter what anyone says,” “He’s an indispensable senpai.”
