Kikunosuke Toya Launches Artist Career with Self-Written Single ‘Off to the Groove’ on July 26

Voice actor Kikunosuke Toya is officially launching his artist career with the digital single “Off to the Groove,” set for release on July 26, 2026. The track marks his first solo music release, with Toya handling both lyrics and composition himself.

Toya is widely recognized for his leading roles as Denji in Chainsaw Man, Akira Kiyose in UniteUp!, and Shou Akiyama in Tetsunabe no Jan!. He also won the Best Voice Actor award at the 20th Seiyuu Awards and is active as an MC and radio personality.

The song “Off to the Groove” is built around the theme of “the happiness of having music in daily life.” It captures everyday scenes—cats met on the roadside, pleasant smells drifting through the streets—set to a comfortable groove. The track carries a message of “Let’s live happily without straining.”

First Solo Live Showcase in August

Toya will hold his first solo live event, “Kikunosuke Toya LIVE Showcase 2026 ‘Off to the Groove,'” with two performances each at two venues. The Nagoya show takes place on August 2 at Shizuka no Umi, and the Yokohama show on August 23 at Shin-Yokohama NEW SIDE BEACH!!. Both venues host a daytime performance (doors 13:30, start 14:00) and an evening performance (doors 17:00, start 17:30). Tickets are currently on general sale.
