TV anime Tenmaku no Jaadougaru has revealed the synopsis and scene cuts for Act 6, titled “Mergen no Tami” (The People of Mergen), which will air on August 1, 2026. Alongside the preview, three new cast members have been announced: Ishida Akira, Minase Inori, and Chiba Shouya, each providing their voices for characters making their debut in this episode.

Tenmaku no Jaadougaru is a historical manga by Tomato Soup, serialized in Akita Shoten’s Souffle. The story is set in 13th-century Mongolia and follows Shitara (Fatima), a former slave taken prisoner by the Mongol Empire, who meets Dregene, the sixth wife of the Mongol emperor. Both harbor complex feelings toward the empire, and Shitara uses her wits to shake the foundations of the imperial court.
The TV anime began airing on July 4, 2026, with chief director Yamada Naoko, director Abel Gongora, and animation production by Science SARU (known for Dandadan, The Heike Story, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!). The cast includes Sekine Akira as Shitara, Koshimizu Ami as Dregene, Kuwashima Houko as Fatima, Saitou Jun as Muhammad, Shimono Hiro as Ogotai, Suzuki Ryouta as Tolui, Irino Miyu as Shira, Namikawa Daisuke as Chagatai, and Nojima Kenji as Juchi.
Now, the synopsis and scene cuts for Act 6 have arrived. Dregene, who has harbored deep hatred—even saying “I’ll kill you” to her husband Ogotai—will have her “sad past” revealed.
From Act 6, new characters appear. Dairu, the chief of the Merkit tribe, is voiced by Ishida Akira; Kuran, Dairu’s daughter, by Minase Inori; and Kurutogan, a master archer, by Chiba Shouya. Comments from each cast member have also arrived.

Dairu is the chief of the Merkit tribe, into which Dregene married 25 years ago. Ishida commented on the difficulty of imagining the era, but praised how the visuals convey the setting and noted the high energy on set during recording.

Kuran is Dairu’s daughter, with whom Dregene gradually forms a bond. Minase said she “thought a lot and struggled a lot while performing,” sharing what she felt and gained through the role.

Kurutogan is a master archer who still remains in Dregene’s heart. Chiba said he aimed to deliver Kurutogan’s words “innocently and simply,” capturing the character’s delicate age between child and adult.
