New merchandise inspired by the picture book “Yuki no Hi” (Snowy Day) is coming for Miffy fans. The three-item lineup features the beloved bunny wrapped in a scarf and coat, perfect for winter preparations.
Miffy is a small rabbit girl and the protagonist of picture books by Dutch author and graphic designer Dick Bruna. The first Miffy book was published in the Netherlands in 1955, and the series arrived in Japan in 1964 as “Chiisana Usako-chan” (Fukuinkan Shoten). For over half a century, Miffy has been cherished across generations.
The new “Yuki no Hi” series translates the scarf-and-coat look from the picture book into tangible items. The goods come in three color variations: “Bruna” (the book’s original colors), “Latte,” and “Snow,” evoking a wintery feel.
The lineup includes:
- “Miffy Nui Coron” (plush) – 1,045 yen each
- “Miffy Embroidery Mascot Keychain” – 1,320 yen each
- “Dot Pouch Miffy Short” – 1,760 yen each
Each item is available in three designs: “Yuki no Hi / Bruna,” “Yuki no Hi / Latte,” and “Yuki no Hi / Snow.”
The “Yuki no Hi” series, featuring Miffy in winter attire with a scarf and coat, is scheduled for release in late August 2026. These gentle items evoke the coming of winter.
