atmos’s original character TENKYU and the globally beloved Monchhichi are teaming up for a special collaboration.
Monchhichi, first released by Sekiguchi in 1974, is a plush doll with a pacifier pose and cute freckles. Its innovative design—a soft body with vinyl face and limbs—sparked a massive boom upon release. Exports began the following year, making Monchhichi a worldwide hit. After a temporary sales halt outside Paris in 1985, fan demand led to a revival in 1996. Evolving with the times, Monchhichi has sold over 70 million units across more than 30 countries, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024.
