Moomin and Tanita have teamed up for a new line of health and lifestyle gadgets, bringing the charm of Moomin Valley to everyday wellness. The collaboration includes a digital health meter, a pedometer, a thermo-hygrometer, and a cooking scale, all designed with a Nordic-inspired aesthetic. The four items will be available in limited quantities from August 6, 2026, exclusively at the Tanita online shop.
Digital Health Meter
The compact and lightweight digital health meter features a step-on function for easy measurement. Its design includes a cute illustration of Moomin standing on a scale, gently encouraging users to step on. The model is the HD-CU Moomin Model.
Pedometer
The pedometer comes in four designs: Moomin, Little My, Snufkin, and Hattifatteners. Equipped with a 3D sensor, it can be carried in a bag or pocket without needing to be worn in a specific position. The model is the FB-741 Moomin Model.
Thermo-Hygrometer
The digital thermo-hygrometer is available in two designs: Little My and Hattifatteners. It helps monitor conditions that can lead to mold, food poisoning, or heatstroke, making it useful for maintaining a comfortable indoor environment. The model is the TT-CU Moomin Model.
Cooking Scale
The digital cooking scale comes with a removable, washable translucent silicone cover. It features a micro mode that measures in 0.1g increments, as well as “instant zero” and “instant hold” functions to assist with baking and cooking. The model is the KJ-212 Moomin Model.
All items are priced at 4,400 yen each. The collection embodies the theme of “health habits without overdoing it,” making it easy to incorporate daily wellness routines with beloved Moomin characters.
