A new LED room light featuring the adorable Onigiri Boya from the popular picture book series Pan Dorobou has hit store shelves across Japan. The soft, squishy silicone light is now available as of August 2026.
Onigiri Boya Brings Gentle Light to Your Space

Onigiri Boya is a beloved character from Shibata Keiko’s Pan Dorobou series, which follows the adventures of a mischievous bread thief. The series has sold over 5 million copies, and a TV anime adaptation is scheduled to premiere on NHK E-Tele in October 2026.
The new room light captures Onigiri Boya’s charming design in a soft, puffy silicone body. Its gentle glow creates a calming atmosphere, and the compact size makes it easy to carry around. Since it runs on batteries, you can place it anywhere you like.

The light features two brightness levels and can last up to approximately 48 hours on continuous use, making it perfect for bedtime or as a cozy accent light.
