The music video for the opening theme song of the TV anime Yani Neko has been released, and it’s already causing a stir online. The video for Wasurelanneyo’s “Nann mo Nee” features a star-studded cast, and fans are loving every second.
About Yani Neko
Yani Neko is based on the manga by Nyan Nyan Factory, serialized in Kodansha’s Young Magazine. The comedy follows a group of irredeemable but oddly endearing scumbag cats living a smoke-filled daily life. In a world where humans and beast-people coexist, the beast-man Yani Neko smokes and lazes around. With no money, no life skills, and no decency, they’ve thrown away manners and morals along with their cigarette butts. Yet they manage to live somewhat fulfilling days. The manga, which blew up on social media, has been adapted into a TV anime that began airing in July 2026.
Music Video Features Star-Studded Cast
The MV for the OP theme “Nann mo Nee” brings together a luxurious cast in a familiar underground detention facility. Appearing from the anime are Yuuko Natsuyoshi as Yani Neko, Tetsu Inada as the landlord, director Taku Kimura, and original author Nyan Nyan Factory. Also appearing is Chiko Akanekoza, whose Yani Neko cosplay at the AnimeJapan 2026 booth became a hot topic. And crossing over from the world of Yani Neko, those other scumbags also make an appearance. The video was directed by Mani Kato, who has previously directed many Wasurelanneyo music videos.
