The TV anime Thunder 3 has dropped a new promotional video titled “Shibuya Guerrilla Battle PV,” spotlighting the Rebellion members as they unleash their special abilities and push back against the alien forces that have invaded Japan. The clip also hints at the appearance of Small 3, who may be entering the fray.
Originally launched in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine in 2022, the manga quickly became a sensation on social media for its story and artwork, earning an unusually fast nomination for the “Next Manga Award 2022.” The anime adaptation began airing on July 8.
Episode 7, titled “COUNTERATTACK,” is set to air on August 19 and will see the Rebellion finally strike back. In the newly released PV, the team is shown struggling against overwhelming odds, only to face an even greater crisis—before someone unexpected appears. What will become of their fight, and what is Small 3 thinking after making contact with the Rebellion? The answers lie in the episodes ahead.
The anime airs every Wednesday at 24:45 on Fuji TV’s “+Ultra” and other channels (note: episode 7 starts at 24:55 on Fuji TV and some affiliates). It is also exclusively streaming on Netflix. The original manga’s 10th and final volume went on sale on August 17.
