Sanrio Characters are back with a new snack item that pairs potato sticks with cheerful sticker designs. Titled “Kimi o Ouen! Potato Stick,” the product brings together popular characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Pompompurin to give fans a little extra encouragement.
This release arrives hot on the heels of the 2026 Sanrio Character Award, which saw Pompompurin take first place for the fifth time overall and second consecutive year. The event recorded a total of 70,647,379 votes—112% of last year’s figure and the highest in its history. Cinnamoroll, who led the initial announcement, placed second, followed by Pochacco in third, Kuromi in fourth, and Hello Kitty in fifth.
The full lineup of characters featured on the stickers includes Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, Pochacco, Hangyodon, Tuxedo Sam, Kero Kero Keroppi, Hirune Peckle, Bad Badtz-Maru, Little Twin Stars, Kogimyun, Wish Me Mell, Hanamaru Obake, Usahana, and Marumofubiyori.
Each sticker features a matte finish with a three-dimensional texture, and there are 26 different designs to collect. The accompanying potato sticks are flavored with butter and soy sauce, under the playful name “Gan Butter! Shoyu Aji.”
Each box contains one randomly selected sticker and a 32g bag of the snacks. Orders are accepted only by the box, and it should be noted that a single box does not guarantee all 26 sticker types.
Due to manufacturing circumstances, there may be an uneven distribution of designs within a box.
Reservations for the product begin on August 20, 2026 at 13:00, with shipments scheduled for December 2026.
