A limited-edition Zippo lighter inspired by Fujiwara Bunta from Initial D has gone up for pre-order, with only 150 units being produced. This is the first time the CAMSHOP Zippo series has featured a design based on the character.
Initial D, also known as IniD, is a manga by Shigeno Shuichi that has surpassed 56 million copies in cumulative circulation and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025. The story centers on street racing battles, featuring real car models such as the Toyota AE86 driven by protagonist Fujiwara Takumi. The series has had a major impact on the automotive industry, sparking interest in cars among young people. It has also gained worldwide popularity, with translations and broadcasts in Asian and European countries. The story continues through the sequel MF Ghost and the latest installment Subaru to Suisei.
The new Zippo features a black nickel finish with a heavy, gunmetal-like shine. A delicate laser engraving recreates a scene from the manga where Fujiwara Bunta appears, blending the world of the work with the texture of the metal material.
Each unit is engraved with an individual serial number, making it a highly collectible and commemorative item. It is designed for everyday use as well as display or collection purposes.
The product, officially named “Zippo 『頭文字D』 藤原文太 「ひねってこい」 イニシャルD INITIAL D,” is available for pre-order until September 29, 2026, at 0:00. Shipping is scheduled for September 29, 2026, and the price is 16,500 yen (tax included).
