Sword Art Online fans have a sweet reason to celebrate: a pop-up store themed around Kirito and Asuna’s wedding anniversary will open at Shinjuku Marui Annex in Tokyo from October 23 to November 3, 2026. The limited-time shop will sell a special lineup of merchandise under the “Wedding Anniversary 2026 ver.” label, featuring newly drawn illustrations of the iconic couple.

The Sword Art Online series, based on the light novels by Kawara Reki, has captivated audiences worldwide. The original novel series won the 15th Dengeki Novel Award Grand Prize and has surpassed 30 million copies in circulation globally. The TV anime has run across four series since 2012, with a new original theatrical film, “Sword Art Online -Integral Domain-,” slated for release in 2028.
On August 7, the latest installment in the original novel line, “Sword Art Online Material 1 Sugaric Days” (Dengeki Bunko), hit shelves, delivering what is described as the sweetest episode in SAO history. The new merchandise captures that same affectionate atmosphere, letting fans enjoy a glimpse of the happy newlywed life of Kirito and Asuna.

Fans can also pick up the “Clear File Set” (1,650 yen) and the “Art Panel” (3,850 yen) for their collection.

During the pop-up store period, customers who spend 3,000 yen (tax included) in a single transaction will receive one of three random “Wedding Anniversary Party Invitation-Style Postcards.”
The pop-up store will be held at the 2F “Annivroad by Bushiroad Creative Store” at Shinjuku Marui Annex, from October 23 (Friday) to November 3 (Tuesday, public holiday).
