Samantha Thavasa has announced a new collaboration with the beloved Moomin franchise, releasing a collection of 19 items including bags, backpacks, long wallets, and bag charms. The designs draw from the world of Moomin, Little My, and Snufkin, bringing the charm of Tove Jansson’s creations to everyday accessories.
Moomin, created by Finnish author and artist Tove Jansson, has been translated and published in over 50 countries. The stories of Moomin and friends have captured hearts worldwide, and this collection aims to capture that same warmth.
Nylon Backpack
The large-capacity nylon backpack features Moomin, Little My, and Snufkin playing happily in the forest. The upper portion uses an all-over pattern, adding an accent to the subdued color palette. The wide opening makes it easy to access your belongings. Available in khaki and brown, priced at ¥36,300.
Nylon Shoulder Bag
Each shoulder bag is designed with a different character—Moomin, Snufkin, or Little My—with the character art placed in the lower left corner. The zipper pulls feature Hattifatteners, allowing fans to enjoy the Moomin world in every detail. Available in brown, khaki, and red, priced at ¥29,700.
Tote Bag
The tote bag features Moomin, Little My, and Snufkin playing together on the front. The color schemes vary by variant: white with beige, brown with dark brown, and khaki with brown, expressing the natural and gentle world of Moomin. Priced at ¥25,300.
Wallets
Both the long wallet and the fold wallet come in brown, khaki, and beige. Each wallet features a base color matching the character, with original metal fittings depicting flowers and trees, along with printed character art. The long wallet is ¥26,400, and the fold wallet is ¥24,200.
Backpack-Shaped Pouch Charm
This pouch charm is designed to resemble Snufkin’s backpack. It opens to hold small items like lip balm or earphones, and features a snap button on the side to adjust the opening. Priced at ¥9,680, it’s a perfect accessory to attach to the matching bags.
2-Way Bag Charm
The bag charms feature Moomin, Little My, Snufkin, and Hattifatteners. The chain is decorated with stones, and the chain can be removed to use the charm as a zipper pull. Priced at ¥6,600.
Pre-orders are currently open, and the collection will be available nationwide starting August 27, 2026.
