TV anime series serial experiments lain is joining forces with fashion brand SEVESKIG for a new collaboration project, “let’s all love lain.” The event spans two venues: a POPUP exhibition at Laforet Harajuku and a special screening of all 13 episodes at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas.
Since its TV broadcast and game release in 1998, serial experiments lain has portrayed the wavering boundaries between the real world and the network world against the backdrop of an era in transition. More than 25 years after it first aired, the anime’s unique worldview continues to gather devoted support across generations and national borders.
The project reinterprets the charm of serial experiments lain from SEVESKIG’s perspective, offering a new way to connect with the series by crossing fashion with cinematic experiences.
