Fans of Made in Abyss can now enjoy teatime with Nanachi and Miti, thanks to a new collaboration between the anime and renowned tableware brand Noritake. The Noritake Collab Cup & Saucer Set, inspired by the emotional reunion scene between Nanachi and Miti in Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, is currently accepting reservations at the online store AMNIBUS.
The original manga by Akihito Tsukushi is serialized in Takeshobo’s “Take Comi!” and depicts a fantasy world of irredeemable beauty and cruelty. It follows Riko, a young cave raider who dreams of unraveling the mysteries of the Abyss, the only remaining unexplored chasm in the world, and Reg, an amnesiac robot she finds. Their adventures have been adapted into a TV anime in 2017, the 2020 film Dawn of the Deep Soul, and the 2022 second TV season The Golden City of the Scorching Sun. A new theatrical series begins with Made in Abyss: The Awakening of Mystery, releasing on October 23, 2026. The cast includes Tomoyo Takayanagi as Riko, Mariya Ise as Reg, and Shiori Izawa as Nanachi. Animation production is handled by Kinema Citrus.
Nanachi and Miti, the copy of Nanachi’s friend encountered in the village of Iruburu, are the focus of this elegant teacup set. The design reimagines their reunion while also incorporating the in-series plant Tokoshieko to bring the world of the story to life.
The set is crafted from beautiful bone china, with gold accents on the cup rim, handle, and saucer edge, giving it a luxurious feel. The cup has a capacity of approximately 240cc when full, and measures about 9cm in diameter, 11.5cm in length, and 6cm in height including the handle. The saucer measures approximately 15cm in diameter and 2cm in height. Due to the gold decoration, the set is not microwave-safe.
The Noritake Collab Cup & Saucer Set is available for pre-order until September 29, 2026. Orders will ship sequentially from mid-February 2027. The set is priced at 21,780 yen (tax included).
