The official X account for Itou Ikkado’s manga 8-gatsu 31-nichi no Long Summer announced on Monday that the series is receiving both a television anime adaptation and a live-action television drama. An ultra teaser visual was also revealed.

Manga Details
Itou began serializing the sci-fi comedy manga in Morning magazine in March 2023. Kodansha published the 13th volume on August 21.
English Release
Kodansha began publishing the manga digitally in English in September 2024 on its K Manga service under the title The Long Summer of August 31st. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for physical release in October 2024 and published the sixth volume on August 25. The seventh volume is scheduled for a November 10 release.
Synopsis
