Anime Bocchi the Rock! and health company Tanita have announced a collaboration lineup of 14 items, including a body composition scale that features voice navigation from the four members of Kessoku Band. The items are available for reservation only.
Based on the four-panel manga by Hamaji Aki serialized in Manga Time Kirara MAX, the anime follows the extremely shy and introverted girl Gotou Hitori as she joins the band Kessoku Band and grows alongside its three unique members: Ijichi Nijika, Yamada Ryou, and Kita Ikuyo. The first TV season aired in fall 2022 and became a massive hit among young audiences, winning numerous awards and gaining widespread support both domestically and internationally. The band’s full album Kessoku Band topped Oricon’s annual digital album ranking and Billboard JAPAN’s annual download album chart in 2023. A second season has been announced following the theatrical compilation.
Collaboration Lineup
The lineup includes the Bluetooth-enabled voice body composition scale BC-204L Anime ‘Bocchi the Rock!’ Model (24,750 yen), the voice timer TD-436 Anime ‘Bocchi the Rock!’ Model (4,950 yen), four versions of the digital thermo-hygrometer TT-CU Anime ‘Bocchi the Rock!’ Model (3,520 yen each), four versions of the 3D-sensor pedometer FB-741 Anime ‘Bocchi the Rock!’ Model (3,520 yen each), and four acrylic stands (1,650 yen each).
Voice Body Composition Scale
The voice body composition scale features newly recorded voice guidance from Gotou Hitori (CV: Aoyama Yoshino), Ijichi Nijika (CV: Suzushiro Sayumi), Yamada Ryou (CV: Mizuno Saku), and Kita Ikuyo (CV: Hasegawa Ikumi). The messages change based on measurement results. For example, if visceral fat level is standard, Hitori says “Chochoi no choi desu yo” and Nijika says “Iine! Sonomama suteeji tateru kondishon!” If muscle mass and basal metabolism are above standard, Ryou says “Kinnikuryou・taisha tomo ni kousuijun. Shin ga aru” and Ikuyo says “Sugoku ii kondishon desu!” Additionally, consecutive measurements for over a week or two weeks trigger different messages. The scale supports Bluetooth, allowing data to be synced with the smartphone apps TANITA Record and Health Planet for numerical and graphical tracking. The body is black with the four character colors arranged on the sides, a newly drawn illustration of the four in the center, and the Kessoku Band logo on the back.
Voice Timer
The voice timer uses newly recorded messages and songs to announce the end of a set time. Alarm sounds include the Kessoku Band song “Seiza ni naretara” and Hitori’s line “O, owarimashita…! A, sono… saigo made hikikitta kanji, arimasu ne…” Special sounds include “Seishun Complex” and Nijika’s line “Jikan wasuretetaa! Demo, kono choushi de ippai renshuu shiyoo!” The device features a large illustration and character colors.
Pedometer
The pedometer is equipped with a 3D (three-axis acceleration) sensor and can be worn around the neck with the included strap or carried in a bag or pocket. It comes in colorful designs based on character colors, with illustrations of the members wearing the pedometer. It’s like walking together with the band.
Digital Thermo-Hygrometer
The digital thermo-hygrometer features a close-up of the member’s face and a full-body illustration on the left and right. It displays indoor temperature and humidity, helping to check for risks like mold, heatstroke, dryness, and skin issues.
Acrylic Stand
The acrylic stand features a character standing on a base designed like the body composition scale, wearing a pedometer. It’s meant to be placed in daily view to encourage regular health measurements.
Reservation Details
All items are available exclusively through the Tanita Online Shop as reservation-limited products. Reservations are open until September 24 at 3:00 PM, with shipping expected from mid-December onward.
