The Pokémon franchise has teamed up with GU for a new apparel collection inspired by the lifestyle of a Trainer living in the woods. The lineup, featuring popular creatures like Pikachu, Charizard, and Eevee, will be available at GU stores nationwide and online from October 23, 2026.
A celebration of 30 years of Pokémon
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon series, which began with the release of the original games Pokémon Red and Green on February 27, 1996. The franchise’s mix of collection, trading, and battling has expanded into anime, film, mobile apps, and merchandise, earning global popularity.
The GU collaboration draws on the idea of living alongside Pokémon in a forest setting, bringing in natural tones and outdoors-inspired details.
Half-Zip Fleece Pullover
This pullover features a woven label with Mew, Charizard, and Gengar. It comes in light gray, red, and navy, with a Monster Ball–shaped zipper pull.
Sweat Pullover
Available in light gray and black. The light gray version features silhouettes of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, the trio that starts a journey together. The black version uses a Pikachu silhouette with an outdoor-inspired color scheme.
Full-Zip Knit Jacket
This jacket also includes a Monster Ball–themed zipper pull. The navy version is decorated with Pikachu and electric-type icons, while the brown version features Eevee and Monster Balls.
Fleece Full-Zip Parka
Featuring a woven label with a Pikachu silhouette and outdoor color accents, this parka comes in black and green.

Two colorways are offered: white with Dragonite, and blue with flying-type Pokémon such as Pidgeotto and Zapdos.
Sweat Lounge Set
Perfect for relaxed time at home, this set features Slowpoke, Pikachu, or Snorlax with a small logo embroidery. The waist drawstring is made with parachute cord.
Kids items also join the collection
The kids lineup is just as rich. The gray sweat pullover features Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile, the partner Pokémon from Pokémon Legends Z-A, while the black version uses a Pikachu silhouette with outdoor tones. These kids pieces pair nicely with the adult versions for matching outfits.
In addition, a brown version features Eevee and its evolved forms, while a blue version showcases Froakie, Frogadier, and Greninja.
The kids cotton sweat lounge set comes in natural, dark gray, and brown, with Pikachu, Meowth, and Eevee respectively.
The collection will be available at GU stores nationwide and online. Online sales begin at 7:15 AM on October 23, 2026.
