Megahouse is expanding its LIFE SIZE DOLL lineup with a new addition from the hit anime Chainsaw Man: a plush, nearly life-sized Pochita that comes with a variety of sound effects. Reservations open on September 11, 2026 at 13:00 JST through Megatre Shop – Premium Bandai’s official store, with shipping planned for February 2027.
A Devilishly Cute Companion
Based on Fujimoto Tatsuki’s manga, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump and Shonen Jump+ from 2018 to 2026 and has surpassed 36 million copies in circulation, Chainsaw Man received a TV anime adaptation by MAPPA in 2022 that earned worldwide acclaim. The franchise’s latest triumph, the animated film Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc, opened in Japan in September 2025 and drew 7.1 million domestic viewers with a box office revenue of 10.8 billion yen. Its international release spanned more than 100 countries and exceeded 29.78 billion yen in global earnings. A sequel, Chainsaw Man – Assassin Arc, has also been announced.
This Pochita doll measures approximately 60 centimeters in total length, capturing the character’s silhouette from his saw blade head to his fluffy tail. Articulated joints in the arms and legs allow for pose adjustment, and the tail can be pulled as an interactive feature. The blade’s base faithfully recreates the rounded, plump mouth seen in the series.
Five Sounds to Pet and Play
The doll includes a built-in sound unit that plays five different audio clips when you stroke its back. Among them are Pochita’s classic “Wan!” bark and the quiet “Vuvuvu…” sound, as well as engine-like noises reminiscent of its chainsaw form. Its big, glossy eyes reflect the face of the person looking at it, making it easy to imagine sharing jam-covered bread or playing games together in your room.
