Sequel Manga Announced
The official X account of Square Enix’s Monthly Shounen Gangan has announced that Shirodaira Kyou, author of Kyokou Suiri (In/Spectre), will launch a sequel to Vampire Juujikai titled Vampire Juujikai: Inu ni wa Inu no Uta (also translated as Vampire Cross World: A Song for Dogs). The new manga, featuring illustrations by Kimura Yuri, will begin serialization in the November issue of the magazine, set to release on October 9.
Original Series Details
Shirodaira began serializing the original Vampire Juujikai (The Record of a Fallen Vampire) in Monthly Shounen Gangan with Kimura’s art from August 2003 to February 2007. Square Enix published nine volumes in total, starting with the first in December 2003 and concluding with the ninth in April 2007.
English Releases
Both Viz Media and Yen Press have licensed the manga for English publication. They released the final ninth volume in May 2010 and December 2014, respectively.
