The beloved world of Panda Kopanda is set to fill Nagoya PARCO with an immersive exhibition. Titled “Panda Kopanda Ten -Nagoya PARCO no Maki-“, the event will run from December 12, 2026, to January 31, 2027, at PARCO HALL on the 8th floor of the West Building.
The exhibition celebrates the classic animated film Panda Kopanda, directed by Takahata Isao, with concept, script, and screen settings by Miyazaki Hayao. Rare production materials, setting drawings, and image boards from the time of its release will be on display, alongside scene recreations designed to deepen visitors’ connection to the story.
Step Inside Mimiko’s Home
One of the highlights is a recreation of the dining room from Mimiko’s house, where much of the story unfolds. Displayed together with original setting materials and image boards, the area lets visitors feel as though they’ve been invited into Mimiko’s world.
Experience the Rainy Day Circus
The exhibition also introduces a dedicated “Rainy Day Circus” area, focusing on scenes from the Rainy Day Circus episode. Fluffy three-dimensional objects and photo spots, including the circus train and the bed boat, are featured. The show’s journey from the first meeting of Papa Panda and Pan-chan is also highlighted through announcement posters and vintage merchandise.
Exhibition-Exclusive Goods
Original merchandise will be up for grabs. The lineup includes an eco bag (1,760 yen), a ticket holder (440 yen), a die-cut cushion (3,080 yen), towel handkerchiefs (880 yen each), T-shirts in adult sizes S/M/L (3,300 yen each) and kids’ sizes 110/130 cm (3,190 yen each), two-link acrylic keychains (880 yen each), and fluffy keychains (880 yen each).
Ticket Information
The exhibition will be open from December 12 to January 31, 2027. Advance tickets go on sale from 10:00 a.m. on September 12. Advance prices are 1,400 yen for general admission, 1,000 yen for middle and high school students, and 600 yen for elementary school students. Same-day tickets cost 1,600 yen for adults, 1,200 yen for middle and high school students, and 800 yen for elementary school students. Preschool children are admitted free of charge.
