JR East’s iconic mascot Suica no Penguin is getting a stylish new travel companion. In a triple collaboration with the travel guide series Kotorippu and bag brand Kitamura, the limited-edition “Suica no Penguin to Tabi suru Multi-Way Bag” is set to arrive at GRANSTA MALL in November 2026, with only 500 units produced.
The bag is designed with the concept “traveling with Suica no Penguin,” and its standout feature is a versatile multi-way structure. The main bag and its attached pouch can each be used as either a shoulder bag or a hand bag by swapping the straps. On top of that, you can choose to reveal or hide the adorable penguin depending on your mood.

The set comes with three pieces: the main bag, a pouch, and a Suica no Penguin pass case. The pass case is a generous 20 cm tall, so it really stands out. Attach it to the shoulder strap and you’ll feel as if the penguin is journeying alongside you. Or slip it into the front pocket to have its cute face “peek out” for a subtle charm.

The main bag has enough room to hold items like PET bottles while staying compact enough to move around freely during active trips. A large exterior pocket sits on the front, and inside you’ll find a zippered pocket and an open pocket for organization.

The main material is lightweight and durable nylon, so you can carry it without worrying too much about scratches or light splashes. The back of the pass case is made to hold various tickets—handy for times when you need to show a re-entry pass.
Both the bag and pouch are finished with Kitamura’s signature “K mark.” If you prefer a quieter look, just hide the pass case away inside the bag.

Two color options are available: sand beige/pink and dark blue/ice blue. The price is 35,000 yen (tax included), and the initial production run is capped at 500 pieces across both colors.
The “Suica no Penguin to Tabi suru Multi-Way Bag” is scheduled to go on sale during November 2026. The exact release date will be posted on the official special page and GRANSTA MALL’s official LINE account.
