Futsutsukana Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga TV Anime Sets Second Cour for January 2027, Adds New Cast

The TV anime Futsutsukana Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga ~Hinomiya Chouso Torikae Den~ is set to begin its second cour in January 2027. The announcement arrived with a fresh main visual and the reveal of three new cast members.

Character designer Ai Kikuchi created the new key visual, which shows the series’ central figures Reirin and Keigetsu alongside Riri and Fuyuyuki, as well as the upcoming additions Kou Keikou, Kou Keishou, and Unran. The visual contrasts with the first cour’s imagery, suggesting the story will move beyond the inner palace setting.

New Cast Members and Comments

Episode 11 introduced the characters Kou Keikou, Kou Keishou, and Unran, and their voice actors have now been confirmed. Kou Keikou will be played by Yuuichi Nakamura, Kou Keishou by Shunichi Toki, and Unran by Chiaki Kobayashi.

Kou Keikou – Yuuichi Nakamura

“I’ll be voicing Unran. He is expected to become the next leader of his village, but he is also a mysterious figure moving in the shadows for some purpose. However, there is extraordinary resolve hidden in his eyes. I hope you look forward to seeing how he interacts with Keigetsu and Reirin. I’ll give my all to portray Unran’s way of life.”

Original Soundtrack Released

To celebrate the series’ first cour, the original soundtrack containing the background music is now available on streaming services as of September 21, 2026.

Series Background

The anime is adapted from the light novel series by Nakamura Satsuki, illustrated by Yukiza, and published under Ichijinsha Novels. The manga adaptation by Ohi Hitsuji runs in Monthly Comic Zero-Sum. The franchise has surpassed 5 million copies in circulation. The novel won the C’more Everyone’s Choice 2023 Electronic Comic Award in the light novel division and topped BookLive’s 2023 annual ranking for female-oriented light novels. The manga received a nomination for the Magademy Award 2023 Work Award and the Supporting Actress Award for Zhu Keigetsu, and it also won the Rakuten Kobo eBook Award 2024 in the “Must-Read Now! Notable Comic” category.
