The TV anime Ghost in the Shell: THE GHOST IN THE SHELL has aired its final episode, and the series is now streaming on Prime Video. To celebrate, Amazon’s on-demand print service, Amazon Merch on Demand, has released a fresh batch of official apparel and goods featuring exclusive new designs.
First introduced in 1989 through Shirow Masamune’s original manga in Young Magazine’s pirate edition, Ghost in the Shell has grown into a landmark cyberpunk franchise. It spans Mamoru Oshii’s animated films, numerous anime adaptations, and a Hollywood live-action version, all set in a future where advanced cybernetics and networked brains put humanity on the edge of a new existence. The latest TV anime, Ghost in the Shell: THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, concluded its broadcast on September 8 and is currently available on Prime Video and other streaming platforms.
Amazon Merch on Demand is now offering a selection of limited-edition items featuring the new artwork. Four designs have been released ahead of the rest: “Opening,” “Jumping Fuchikoma,” “Motoko2,” and “AllCharacter.” These designs showcase the members of Public Security Section 9, the series’ protagonist — the full-body cyborg Kusanagi Motoko — and the AI-equipped thinking tank Fuchikoma, making them must-haves for fans.
